Breif Analysis of short documentries

For this i have chosen two short documentaries where i have briefly analysed the most obvious codes and conventions to give a brief idea about what the codes and conventions are in a documentary.

In the teeth of Jaws Part 1

In this documentary the codes and conventions spotted where subheadings relating to the theme and topic (in this case moving water), narrating was used over a scene of the relevant image. Another thing was sentences were continued by the different people being interview.
The s
Simpson's 20th anniversary special in 3d on ice

The codes and conventions spotted at first in this were there was light hearted music, bouncy short clips which relates to the atmosphere of the show the Simpson's. The people being interviewed also were on the same side, right or left always and the subheadings were always the same (text used in the subheading was familiar to text from the Simpson's)

Codes and Conventions
Interviews: Lighting must be from behind the camera not to front to prevent exposure.
The background most always be relevant to the theme or subject
Themed graphics, subheadings (stay same, short introduction of who the person interviewing is) Music relevant
Interviews mostly short and cut up, and sentences continue from each person
Rarely hear the interviewing, the answer is always in the question
Background carefully positioned, either to the left or the right, same person stays the same
Eye level camera
Public and other peoples interpretations are always good
Mid shots are usually used, able to see background, Close ups creates the mood
Rule Of thirds
